Clear Volume

Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 8 October 2026

Nobody is charged to read Clear Volume, so the money comes from somewhere else: affiliate commission. This page explains the arrangement in enough detail that you can judge the course knowing how it is paid for.

The arrangement

DAVITON s.r.o., the publisher of this site, takes part in an affiliate programme for one game: Raid: Shadow Legends. The programme is run by an affiliate network, which supplies the link and the vendor's own description, and which pays the publisher.

A commission is earned when a reader follows one of the links and completes a sign-up: registering on the page the link opens, installing the game and starting the tutorial. Those three together are what the network pays on. Reading this site earns nothing, and clicking a link then changing your mind earns nothing.

Your price does not change

Following an affiliate link costs you nothing extra. Whatever the game would cost you arriving by any other route is what it costs arriving from here; the commission is paid by the network out of its own arrangement, not added to your side. We make no claim that you get a better deal either.

Where the links appear

There are three of them, and they are in the same place on every visit:

  • On the course home page, in the section headed "Where Raid: Shadow Legends appears, and why".
  • In Step 3, in the section on working out the cost structure, where the vendor's own description is quoted and its limits are noted.
  • In Step 4, in the section on creating an account.

Each carries a line of text beside it saying it is a paid link, and each points directly at the destination the network gave us, so the address in your browser's status bar before you click is the address you go to. We do not route clicks through a redirect on this domain and we do not rewrite the link when you click it. Nothing on this site changes according to where you arrived from, what country you are in or what browser you use.

What the commission does not decide

It does not decide what the five steps say. The system checks in Step 2, the classification and terms work in Step 3, the install procedure in Step 4 and the spending review in Step 5 would be written the same way with no commercial relationship at all.

It does not put a link where one does not belong: there is none in Step 1, Step 2 or Step 5, and none on the checklists page. It does not buy a recommendation either — nowhere does this course tell you that you should install the game named here, or any game.

And it does not buy claims. What we say about the named product is limited to what its vendor states through the network: a battle collection role-playing game with dungeons, clan boss fights and a voiced campaign across twelve locations, offered for desktop computers running Windows, macOS or Linux. Where the vendor states nothing, such as price, we say so rather than filling the gap.

What does decide the content

Four things. Whether a procedure works on all three desktop operating systems. Whether a claim can be traced to a primary source — an operating system vendor's documentation, or an Australian public body — or else honestly phrased as general guidance. Whether a beginner can act on it without buying anything. And whether removing every affiliate link would weaken the course: where it would not, the link is not there.

The editorial method behind those tests is set out on the About page, which also states plainly that the product named here is one the publisher has a commercial relationship with, not one selected by comparison against alternatives.

You can finish without using them

The whole course works with every link removed. The checklists mention no product, and the five steps apply to any desktop game you might choose for yourself. If you would rather not use an affiliate link, search for the game's name instead, or ignore it entirely.

Trade marks

All brand names on Clear Volume, Raid: Shadow Legends among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Clear Volume, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.

Privacy of the click

We receive aggregate commission reports from the network, used only to reconcile what we are owed, and nothing identifying individual readers. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site under their policies; the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain what that means.
