Cookie Policy
Effective date: 8 October 2026
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website asks your browser to keep and to send back on your next visit, which is how a site recognises a returning browser. Similar technologies do the same job by other means — storing data in the browser, loading a tiny image to register a visit, or reading details of your browser and device to build a distinguishing fingerprint.
Clear Volume uses none of them. The list below is every technology we checked for on this site, with what we found.
What we checked
- Cookies set by this site
- Not used. The pages are static files and the server is not asked to set anything.
- Cookies set by others through this site
- Not used. No third party has any code on these pages, so nobody is in a position to set a cookie through us.
- localStorage
- Not used. Nothing is written to it, which is why the checklists do not remember which boxes you have ticked.
- sessionStorage
- Not used. The site keeps nothing about your visit, not even for the length of it.
- IndexedDB
- Not used. No browser database is opened or written to.
- Tracking pixels
- Not used. There are no invisible images, beacons or counters on any page.
- Browser fingerprinting
- Not used. No script reads your fonts, canvas, screen details or device characteristics to identify your browser.
- Web fonts and third-party scripts
- Not used. Typefaces come from those already on your own computer, and the only script is a short first-party file that runs the menu button and the print button. Loading a page here causes no request to any other server.
- Server access logs
- Used. Our hosting provider records each request to the site, as described below. This is the only entry on this list that is in use.
Why there is no cookie banner
A consent banner exists so that you can agree to cookies before they are set. Since this site sets none, there is nothing for you to agree to, and a banner asking your permission for something that never happens would be untrue as well as irritating. So there is no banner.
What does happen when you load a page
Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs. An entry can contain the IP address making the request, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string that names your browser and operating system. Those logs are kept for 30 days and are used only to keep the site running, to investigate abuse and to diagnose faults. That is the whole of it; nothing else about your visit is recorded anywhere. The Privacy Policy covers the logs in full, together with the only other information that exists here, which is email you choose to send us.
The checklists do not remember anything
This comes up often enough to deserve its own sentence. The boxes beside each checklist item are drawn with CSS. They are not controls, they cannot be ticked on screen, and nothing is saved when you leave the page — no localStorage, no sessionStorage, no IndexedDB, no fingerprinting and no pixel. If you want to keep your answers, print the All checklists page or copy the lists into your own notes.
After you follow the affiliate link
The course contains a paid affiliate link. Once you click it you are no longer on clearvolume.online, and the game publisher's site and the affiliate network may set cookies on their own domains, typically to record where the referral came from. DAVITON s.r.o. does not control those cookies, cannot switch them off and cannot read them. Their own notices, reachable from the pages the link opens, are the place to check.
Blocking or clearing cookies generally
Nothing here needs blocking, but most sites are not built like this one. Every current browser keeps these controls in its settings, under a heading such as privacy, security or site data. From there you can clear what is already stored, block third-party cookies while allowing first-party ones, block cookies entirely, or clear them each time you close the browser. Blocking everything will sign you out of sites that rely on cookies, which is why the third-party setting is where most people start.
If this ever changes
We have no plan to introduce cookies. If that changed, this page would be rewritten and republished with a new effective date explaining exactly what is set and why, and a working consent mechanism would be in place before any cookie was set on any reader's browser. We would not add one quietly and describe it afterwards.
